The Pixhawk ® 5X by Holybro is the latest update to the successful family of Pixhawk® flight controllers, based on the Pixhawk ® FMUv5X Open Standard and the Pixhawk ® Autopilot Bus Standard. It comes with the latest PX4 Autopilot ® pre-installed, triple redundancy, temperature-controlled, isolated sensor domain, delivering incredible performance and reliability.

Inside the Pixhawk® 5X, you can find an STMicroelectronics ® based STM32F7, paired with sensor technology from Bosch®, InvenSense®, giving you flexibility and reliability for controlling any autonomous vehicle, suitable for both academic and commercial applications. The Pixhawk® 5X’s F7 microcontroller has 2MB flash memory and 512KB RAM. The PX4 Autopilot takes advantage of the increased power and RAM. Thanks to the updated processing power, developers can be more productive and efficient with their development work, allowing for complex algorithms and models.

The FMUv5X open standard includes high-performance, low-noise IMUs on board, designed for better stabilization. Triple redundant IMU & double redundant barometer on separate buses. When the PX4 Autopilot detects a sensor failure, the system seamlessly switches to another to maintain flight control reliability.

An independent LDO powers every sensor set with independent power control. Newly designed vibration isolation to filter out high-frequency vibration and reduce noise to ensure accurate readings, allowing vehicles to reach better overall flight performances. External sensor bus (SPI5) has two chip select lines and data-ready signals for additional sensors and payload with SPI-interface, and with an integrated Microchip Ethernet PHY (LAN8742AI-CZ-TR), high-speed communication with mission computers via ethernet is now supported. Two smart battery monitoring ports (SMBus), support for INA226 SMBus Power module.

The Pixhawk® 5X is perfect for developers at corporate research labs, startups, academics (research, professors, students), and commercial applications.

Overview 

This Holybro SiK Telemetry Radio is a small, light and inexpensive open source radio platform that typically allows ranges of better than 300m “out of the box” (the range can be extended to several kilometres with the use of a patch antenna on the ground).

This radio is plug-n-play all Pixhawk Standard and other Flight Controller, providing the easiest ways to setup a telemetry connection between your Autopilot and a ground station. It uses open source firmware which has been specially designed to work well with MAVLink packets and to be integrated with the Mission Planner, Ardupilot, QGroundControl, PX4 Autopilot.

The radios can be either 915Mhz or 433Mhz and you should purchase the model which is appropriate for your country/region. 


Note:

The current batch of Sik Telemtry Radio uses the SI1060 chip (previously SI1000) shipped with updated firmware. Older firmware without SI1060 chip support is not compatible.
Please use Mission Planner 1.3.76 or QGroundControl v4.2.0 or newer if firmware upload is required.

H-RTK F9P is the latest differential high-precision GNSS positioning system series from Holybro. This system provides multi-band RTK with fast convergence times and reliable performance, concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou, and fast update rate for highly dynamic and high volume applications with centimeter-accuracy. It uses a UBLOX F9P module, a IST8310 compass, and a tri-colored LED indicator. It also has a integrated safety switch for a simple and convenient operation.

PX4 Autopilot users:

The GPS RGB LED Driver Chip has been updated. Ensure the PX4 firmware is Stable Release v1.12.2 or newer for proper LED driver Support.

Ardupilot User:

If unable to preform normal compass calibration "compass dance" for any reason, set parameter COMPASS_ORIENT=6 (Yaw270) for proper compass orientation.

H-RTK F9P Rover lite (SKU12017) & H-RTK F9P Rover lite 2nd GPS (SKU12025)

This model is lower cost, light weight, and has high performance, It can meet the needs of general DIY users. Due to the lower cost, this model can also greatly minimize the cost of large swarm drone projects such as swarm light shows. It has a integrated safety switch and a tri-colored LED indicator, and it is compatible with the open source Pixhawk series flight controller.
