Away from electrical loads, carbon fiber and metal. For carbon fiber planes we suggest you drill a hole and pop the unshielded end of the antenna outside the aircraft.

  How to Bind?

• Turn on your Taranis X9D Plus transmitter, goto "Model Setup", in the "Internal RF" section, choose Mode = D16, Channel Range = CH1-16, Receiver No. 01, and then click "Bind", the transmitter will start beeping.
• Power up the XSR receiver while holding the F/S button. The LED on the receiver will start flashing, that means binding has completed.
• Power off Transmitter and Receiver.
• Turn on the transmitter and power on the Receiver, you should see the Green LED on the receiver, that means it has bound with your transmitter.

Used with a compatable telemetry receiver and transmitter, sensor data can be send back to ground and used to provide alarms, logs, and other useful information.
This sensor uses the FrSky's new Smart Port digital protocol which can be connected direct to the new FrSky 'X' receiver or a digital port on the D series receivers.

The FrSky Variometer sensor calculates the altitude from atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure will get lower as you go up in altitude, using this the sensor will estimate the altitude. An exact display cannot be performed if atmospheric pressure changes in weather. The Variometer sensor also can output the Altitude Rate via DA port. Altitude Rate formula: (Output DA Voltage -1.65)/1.65=Altitude Rate speed/10.24.
